Collector Release Notes
Stay up to date with the latest changes and improvements to Iristick.Collector. Below you'll find key updates to both the portal and mobile app.
May 2026
v3.0.0: Walking Patterns & Multi-Language
The biggest Collector update since launch. A new walking pattern for grid surveys, full multi-language support across voice and UI, and uninterrupted collection on iOS.
- Serpentine walking pattern for grid surveys: A new flow mode that matches your asset order to how you walk the field. Until now, Collector advanced through your asset list in list order, which we called Top to Bottom (A to Z), regardless of your physical route. Now you can pick the corner of the field where you start scoring and the direction you walk first, and Collector advances assets in the order you'll physically reach them, snaking back and forth through the rows. Choose from eight directional variants. See Walking Patterns for the full setup.
- Multi-language voice commands: Voice commands and speech recognition now work in English, French, German, Spanish, and Dutch. Switch language live from settings without restarting the app.
- Multi-language app interface: App UI now available in English, French, German, Spanish, and Dutch.
- Background collection on iOS: HUD stays active when the iPhone screen locks, so collection is never interrupted by auto-lock.
- Added optional digit-by-digit number dictation. Numbers up to 999 still work spoken in full ("two hundred forty-five"). For values above 999, dictate digit by digit ("one two three four").
- Improved number recognition in German, Dutch, and Spanish
- Voice Commands help screen unified across iOS and Android
- Close button on voice overlays moved to the top-right corner
- Smoother animation when auto-advancing through selection lists
- Timestamps now shown in your device language
- Warning shown if you try to log out with paused observations
