Getting Started

Prerequisites

Step 1: Install Assist

  • Open the Google Play Store
  • Search for Iristick.Assist or visit this link
  • Tap Install
  • Open the App Store
  • Search for Iristick.Assist or visit this link
  • Tap Get

Step 2: Start a Session

  • Open Assist on your phone
  • Grant permissions (camera, audio, etc.) when asked
  • The app generates a session link

Step 3: Invite the Expert

Assist passes the session link to your phone's normal share options, so you can send it through any channel installed on the handset.

  • Tap share and pick your channel. Teams, WhatsApp, SMS, email, Signal, or anything else you already use.
  • The expert opens the link in their browser. No app install needed.
  • You're connected as soon as they join

There is nobody to look up and nobody to set up in advance. If you can already message the person, you can bring them into the call.

That's it. You're now in a live support session.

During the call

The expert takes photos themselves. They press the take picture button in their browser and your glasses camera fires. You keep both hands on the job. You can also take one by voice if you spot something they have not asked about.

Photos live only as long as the call. Remind the expert to download anything they need before either of you hangs up, because once the session ends the pictures are gone from both devices for good.

Audio in noisy environments

Assist works with Bluetooth headsets. Pair one with your phone before the call.

Your voice still goes out through the microphone in the smart glasses. The Bluetooth device only takes over the sound you hear. So you keep the glasses microphone, and you listen through your headset.

That helps in plant rooms, workshops, and anywhere with constant machine noise. It is usually the easiest way to hear the expert clearly.

What the expert needs

Nothing installed. They open the link in a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari browser, on a desktop, tablet, or phone, and grant microphone access when asked. There is no account to create.

On a strict company firewall, point them at network requirements before the first call. Assist needs UDP 3478. If that is blocked, it falls back to HTTPS on 443.
